Product Description
PE Anti-Mouse CD326/EpCAM Antibody [G8.8] is a rat monoclonal antibody designed to detect mouse epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM), also known as CD326. Conjugated to phycoerythrin (PE), this antibody is suitable for fluorescent detection of EpCAM-expressing cells by flow cytometry.
EpCAM is a transmembrane glycoprotein involved in calcium-independent homophilic cell-to-cell adhesion. It is associated with epithelial cell organization, proliferation and tumor biology, making it an important marker in immunology, cancer research and stem cell studies.
Background
EpCAM mediates calcium-independent homophilic cell-to-cell adhesion and may also function as a growth factor receptor. It is thought to contribute to maintaining cell positioning during proliferation. Its expression can correlate inversely with E-cadherin (CD324) levels. EpCAM is widely investigated in epithelial cell biology and tumor research.
